· Nameplate – The banner on the front of a newsletter that tells you the publication.

· Content (and number of articles and entries) – The text in a newsletter.

· Table of contents – A list of what's in the newsletter.

· Masthead – A listing of information about the operatio

n, staff, or circulation of the newsletter.

· Titles and headers – Text that is at the top of a document that includes important information.

· Page numbers – Numbers at the corner of each page that tell you what page you are on.

· Bylines – A short paragraph that tells the name of the author and a little bit about him/her.

· Continuation lines – Lines at the end of an article that look like "continued on page 12."

· Pull quotes – A line at the beginning of a long article that is used to attract attention.

· End signs – A design or ornament to signal the end of an article.

· Photos/illustrations – Captioned graphics that go with an article.

· Mailing labels – Labels on the newsletter that have the name and address of the recipient.
